What commodities does BillionBird export?
BillionBird exports six Grade-A commodities: Toor Dal (HS 0713.60), Urad Dal (HS 0713.31), Moong Dal (HS 0713.31), Chana Dal (HS 0713.20), Guntur Sannam Red Chilli (HS 0904.21), and Turmeric Fingers (HS 0910.30). All available in multiple grade variants sourced from contracted processing facilities across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The standard minimum order is 18 MT per order, corresponding to one 20ft FCL container. For new institutional partners, we offer a trial container at the same minimum with no additional surcharge. For framework partners ordering 40ft containers or multi-container shipments, we offer preferential pricing tiers. We do not accept LCL orders for commodity shipments.
How do I get a quotation?
Submit the 'Request a Formal Quotation' form on our Contact page. Include: commodity name, grade specification, estimated volume, destination port, preferred Incoterm, and preferred schedule. You will receive a formal quotation document within 12 hours during business days — including commodity specification, pricing, Incoterm breakdown, lead time schedule, and SGS/Intertek inspection arrangement.
What certifications does BillionBird hold?
BillionBird holds APEDA registration, FSSAI licence, IEC registration (Import Export Code, DGFT), and Halal certification. Every shipment is additionally verified by SGS or Intertek — a Certificate of Analysis is issued on every lot without exception. We inspect to AQL 2.5 general and AQL 1.0 critical defect standards.
What Incoterms do you offer?
We offer FOB (Free on Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight), CNF/CFR (Cost and Freight), and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). FOB is offered from Nhava Sheva (JNPT), Mundra, and Chennai. CIF and CNF include marine cargo insurance under ICC-A cover. DDP is available for select destinations where we have established customs broker relationships.
What documents will I receive with my shipment?
You receive the complete 8-document package: (1) Bill of Lading, (2) SGS or Intertek Certificate of Analysis, (3) Phytosanitary Certificate, (4) Certificate of Origin, (5) Packing List, (6) Fumigation Certificate, (7) Commercial Invoice, and (8) Halal Certificate. All 8 are dispatched digitally within 24 hours of vessel sailing. Originals couriered within 72 hours.
Can I request a physical sample before placing an order?
Yes. Use the 'Request a Trade Sample' button on any product page. We send a physical sample of the requested commodity and grade. Once you approve it, it is locked as the golden sample — the permanent quality reference for all subsequent shipments from your account. Sample request response within 12 hours; physical sample dispatched within 5 business days.
What is the timeline from order to vessel departure?
Standard timeline from order confirmation and advance payment: processing and quality inspection (3–5 days), SGS/Intertek inspection and sealing (1–2 days), vessel booking and loading (2–3 days). Total: typically 8–12 days from payment to vessel departure from Nhava Sheva. Ocean transit: GCC 8–12 days, South Asia 3–5 days, East Africa 14–20 days.
